  • Title
    Folio 73 - Persivale Hall of Podington, husbandman, made 3 Feb. pr. 19 May 1557. Soul to almighty God, his maker and redeemer, and to all the court of heaven, and burial in churchyard of Our Lady of Podington. To the church 12d., and to mother church of Lincoln 2d.. To wife Agnes all his household stuff for the term of her life, a cow bullock, half of the crop, 2 sheep, half of the team and a black foal. To son Robert Hall a cow, a plough, with plough “geate” and the cart, and after the death of his mother half of the crop, half of the team, 2 foals, one sheep “spett” and a “gowberd” irons, a pot and a pewter dish. To daughter Elyn a black cow, a through acre of barley Over Sike, a rood of wheat on the Snake Hill, half an acre of pease, one sheep, a little pan and a pewter dish. To daughter Sibell a cow, a quarter of barley and half to be taken of the crop between her mother and Robert, and one quarter of pease. Every godchild to have 4d. each. To Alis [?]Crope one bushel of barley and to Agnes Brydges one sheep, to Robert Meriatt one bushel of barley. Executors wife Agnes and son Robert, and overseers George Brakbroke, George Hynde and William Abott. Witnesses William Yate vicar, Robert Covington, Robert Mariett.
