    Folio 16 - Thomas Wanopp of Cardington made 8 Sep. 1556, pr. 8 Dec. 1556. “First I will and bequeth my sowle to allmighty god Creator and Redemer therof and to the prayer of our blessed Lady seint Marye and to all the holy company of saints for the pray for me”. To the high altar 20d., to the bells 12d.; to Lincoln 4d.. To sister Margeret a silver spoon; to John Davy her eldest son a bullock and to William Davy her youngest son a bullock. To Thomas Whethered 2 heifers, a brown and a red, and also to him £6 13s. 4d., the money on condition that he does not leave testator’s wife (of his own free will) until she remarries, at which time he is to receive the money. Likewise testator leaves to “Jhoan” Edward a bullock and a ewe and a lamb, and on the condition that she does not leave testator’s wife until she marries when she is to have £6 13s., 4d.. To all the children of testator’s sister “Jhoan” a sheep each. To Peter Bell 2 ewes. To Robert Gee 2 lambs. To Eme Morton 40s..To Richard Faukner half a quarter of barley and a ewe and a lamb. To Thomas Fawkner a hose cloth, a ewe and a lamb. To every godchild a lamb. To every one of the children of his wife’s sisters a lamb. To sir John Stanlye 2s.. Residue to wife Agnes, sole executrix “she to dispose them to the honor of god, the welth of my Sowle and all Christin sowlles”.
