Statement from A E Dickinson, Principal Teacher of the Biggleswade Girls Board School that Eliza Ireland did not attend school on 19 April 1877 and that she had only made 6 attendances during the 8 weeks in which the school had been open previous to the 19 April 1877. Request of George Mosely, School Attendance Inspector for Biggleswade, at Arlesey that George Ireland of Cowfair Lands, Biggleswade, parent of Eliza Iceland, be summoned to appear before the Justices of the Peace. Defendant pleaded guilty. Dismissed with a caution on promising to send the child to school regularly in future.
