    Declarations of William Harland of Woburn, Beds, Stationer and Stephen Dodd of same, postmaster: William Harland declares: - I knew Richard Ambrose Reddall late of Woburn and was acquainted with his handwriting; - the words “Willoughby Cott[age]” written in pencil on a release dated 2nd Jan 1756 and made between Thomas Ireland and Abigail Sheffard and the words “Sibleys & Rusts Close” written in pencil on the back of a release dated 13th Jul 1774 and made between John Franks and Abigail Sheffard and the words “Kings Cott[age]” written in pencil on a release dated 31st Jul 1757 between John Ireland and Abigail Sheffard are all in the handwriting of the said Richard; Stephen Dodd declares: - he is 77 years of age upwards and resided in Woburn all my life; - he remembers a lane In Woburn which led from the Town into Woburn Park and through the Park to the Town of Ampthill; - he remembers said lane being inclosed between 40 & 50 years since the new Street in Woburn called Park Street was formed; - he knew the cottages which fronted the said lane and which about 50 years ago were occupied by Richard Sibley and Edward Rust and are now occupied by Burton and Woodland – also two other cottages in a yard behind the lane one of which adjoined a field of the said Richard Ambrose Reddall and about 50 years ago was occupied by King and now by John Clark and the other mentioned cottage lay between premises now of the Duke of Bedford and about 50 years ago was occupied by Willoughby and now by Thomas Fooks; - he remembers Abigail Sheffard who was the mother of Catherine Reddall who was the mother of the said Richard Ambrose Reddall and for 50 years all the said cottages and premises were the property of Catherine Reddall then Richard Ambrose Reddall since Ann Reddall his widow. - before John Green, master extractor in chancery and signed by William Harland and Stephen Dodd.
