    Appointment and release by way of family settlement Parties: (i) James William Blackwell of Dunstable, gentleman; (ii) William Medland of Dunstable, gentleman; (iii) William Jardine of Dunstable, draper Reciting: - release of 5 Jul 1855 between (1) Rev.William Sutherland McDonall; Rev.Patrick George McDonall; Charles West Cope; (2) John Twigg; (3) James William Blackwell; (4) William Medland in which (a) was released to use of (3) for life remainder to (4) for life of (3) upon trust for (3); - (i) had four children living and wished to make provision for them Operative Part: - (i) declared (a) to be to uses described; - (i) paid 10/- each to (ii) and (iii); - (i) and (ii) by direction of (ii) released (a) to (iii) Property: (a) four messuages, blacksmith's shop, barns etc. on NE side of North Street, Dunstable bounded: NW by property of Cart's trustees; NE by property of Ashton's trustees; SE by other property of (i) except reserving to Ashton's trustees a right of way from the messuages to the road over Churchfield Habendum: - to (iii) to use of (i) for his life, to (iii) during the life of (i) upon trust to preserve contingent uses to permit (i) to receive rents and profits, after death of (i) to use children of (i) in trust for these children Witness: - Frederick Furlough, clerk to William Medland Memorandum of undertaking of 12 Oct 1888 covenanting this indenture to be produced and copied on completion of the trusts and handed over to Frederick Sanders, Thomas Boyle Woolley, William Steward and Septimus Walker Brown of 129 Wood Street, London EC
