(ii) John Palmer, surviving trustee of the will of Thomas Gale (see R6/63/16/9); Reciting: - will of Mary Taylor whereby Mary States was granted a legacy of £50 to be paid by Thomas Gale out of her estate (see R6/63/7/16); - will of Thomas Gale (see R6/63/16/9); - Stephen Taylor died on the 10th Oct 1793; - Mary States died widowed and intestate without receiving the full legacy from Thomas Gale; - letters of administration concerning the estate of Mary States was granted to Charles States at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury. Operative: - in consideration of the said legacy and interest being paid, (i) releases (a) unto (ii). Property: (a) freehold and copyhold estates late of the said Mary Taylor, deceased and devised by her will to Thomas Gale, deceased. - signed by (i); - witnessed and signed by H.H.Turner, clerk to Mr.Turner of Margaret Street, Cavendish Square [London] and Thomas Weston, servant to Mr. Turner.
