of Luton (being formerly the maltshop & lofts belonging to a
messuage called 'The Tennis Yard'), lying betw. the messuage of
Rich. Hiorne on N., & and that of the heirs of Abr. Crawley, called
'The Tennis Yard', on S., & fronting E. on the common street.
Also a barn of 4 bays in the yard of the messuage called 'The
Tennis Yard'. A yard & orchard (1/2 a.), formerly belonging to
the said messuage, betw. the orchard of Rich. Hiorne N., & that
of Thos. Cantiell gent. on S. And several pieces of land in the
Common Fields of Luton. Place-n: Blackwater Field, Someris
Church Path, the field way called the Vicars Baulke from Luton
to Eaton Green, Neales Hill, Gallants Lane; Winsden alias Bis-
sill Fd., Hagdell Close; Bayly Fd., the field way to Brownes
