Parties: (i) Stephen Taylor of Woburn, Beds, wheelwright and Mary his wife (late Mary Gale, spinster); (ii) Thomas Gale of Ampthill, Beds, brazier and Samuel Davis the younger of Ampthill, gentleman; (iii) Francis, Duke of Bedford. Reciting: - R6/63/7/13 - (iii) is seized of (b-c); - (i) & (iii) agree to exchange (a) and (b); - (i) & (ii) agree to revoke terms of admission dated 20th Mar 1788 (see R6/63/7/13). Operative: - (i) with consent of (ii) surrenders (a) to (iii); - (iii) conveys (b-c) to (ii) in trust for (i); Property: (a) Copyhold closes of meadow or sward land in Woburn called Great Caswells and Little Caswells; (b) Freehold or sward of meadow called Hedgecroft in Woburn of 4a 36p in the occupation of Richard Filkes; (c) Close of meadow or sward ground in Woburn called Scotch Close of 3a 3r now in the occupation of Mary Wyche. Habendum: - (ii) to hold (b-c) for (i) upon the following trusts: - to the use of Stephen Taylor and Mary his wife for their life; - after decease of survivor, to the use of any children of Stephen & Mary; - in default of such issue, to the use of any person Mary has appointed; - in default of such appointment, to the use of the right heirs of Mary; Covenants: - (iii) grants right of way to (i) through (b-c) from Kings Road and through a close called Gravel Pitt in the occupation of John Clarke; - certain powers of sale and revocation to (i). - signed by (i), (ii) & (iii). - witnessed and signed by William Bodinson, Samuel Davis, Daniel Beaumont and William Jones.
