Conviction of George Presland for running away and leaving his children, Samuel, Elijah, Annie and John Presland uncared for. Statement of Harry Laney, Master of Biggleswade Workhouse that the children had become chargeable to the Biggleswade Union. Samuel had since left but the other three children were still there The cost to the Union ws £12 to £14.
