- TitleReport by James Bennett, Beerhousekeeper of Arlesey. He was returning home at 10.30pm when John Roberts came up to him with a piece of wood and swung it round his head knocking off his hat and saying' Get out of my way or I'll knock you down'. Bennett told him to not to be so foolish and went on his way home. On the way he met Charles Topham near to his house. Roberts came up to Bennett again and hit him in the breast with his fist saying 'Come out you b....r I'll fight you'. Roberts said that he was hit at the Fox & Buck and denied going down to Bennett's house. He said 'We had a quart between 3 at the Whitehouse and 3 pints between 4 at the Fox & Buck'.
