Information of John Ell, farmer of Henlow, that his neighbour George Ward had caught one of his hens and pulled the feathers off its back, wing and tail before throwing it back over the fence. John Ell declared that he had offered to share the cost of a new wire fence 3 or 4 years ago with George Ward and denied that he had offered to settle if the defendant would put up the wire fence. Fine £1, costs 10/- or 14 days.
