Reciting: - Will of Charles Livius Grimshawe dated 7th Mar 1883 (See X899/6/4 for extract). - Henry Robert Vaughan Johnson and Henry Holden Steward never intermeddled with the estate of Charles Livius Grimshawe. - Sir Salisbury Gillies Payne died on the [?]. - Will of Emily Mary Grimshawe dated the 25th Jun 1896 whereby she appointed Arthur Grimsagh Cecil Grimshawe sole executor. - Emily Mary Grimshawe died on the 20th Feb 1897 and her will was proved on the 21st Apr 1987. - Questions have arisen concerning the said will in regard to the validity of any purported exercise by her or her said power of appointment amongst her children of the trust estate (except £1325 Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Stock which was appointed by her will to Edmund Salisbury Vaughan Grimshawe). Operative: - In consideration of the power given to Arthur Grimsagh Cecil Grimshawe under the will of Emily Mary Grimshawe, he appoints the income from the trust estate that he is entitled to unto his wife Mabel Irene Grimshawe if she survives him. - Signed by Arthur Grimsagh Cecil Grimshawe. - Witnessed and signed by Herbert W.
