    Marriage Settlement Parties: (i) Charles Livius Grimshawe of The Barnes, Fenlake, Cardington, Beds, esquire. (ii) John Ward Boughton Leigh of Brownsover Hall, Warwickshire, esquire. (iii) Jemima Lucy Boughton Ward Boughton Leigh of Brownsover, spinster (one of the daughters of (ii) & Theodosia de Malsburgh his wife). (iv) Thomas Fanshawe Parratt of Effingham House, Surrey, esquire; Leigh Richmond of Craycombe House, Worcestershire, esquire; Edward Allesley Boughton Ward Boughton Leigh of Brownsover Hall, esquire & Charles Evelyn Rowley, esquire & Commander in her majesty's royal navy. Reciting: - X899/6/1. - Intended marriage between (i) & (iii). - (i) is entitled to £8500 with interest at £4/5/- by a mortgage secured on certain freehold & copyhold property; - (i) is entitled to £2700 with interest at £4/10/- per centum per annum invested on a mortgage secured on a estate for life of Elizabeth Orde Wade in freehold, copyhold & leasehold property; - (i) is entitled to Elizabeth Orde Wade's life insurance dated 20th Aug 1841 whereby £300 is secured and made payable to her husband Albany Wade after three months of her death; - (i) is entitled to £5800 invested in stock of The Midland Counties Railway Company. First Operative: - In consideration of the intended marriage (i) transfers the recited sums he is entitled to as investments (the 'trust fund') unto (iv) in trust for (i) until the intended marriage; - after marriage, (iv) to continue investing the trust fund (until (i) and (iii) direct otherwise) and pay profits unto (i) for his life; - after his death, annual sum of £600 is to be given to (iii); - after her death, sum to be paid or directed to the children or grandchildren of the intended marriage. Second Operative: - In consideration of the intended marriage, (iii) directs that the £100 annuity with interest at £4 per cent per annum payable to her by (ii) shall after her decease be paid to (i) for his life. Third Operative: - In consideration of the intended marriage, (iii) directs that the principal sum of £5000 payable to her by (ii) shall be held in trust for the children of the intended marriage. Covenants: - (i) and (iv) granted certain powers to appoint new trustees. - Signed by (i), (ii), (iii) & (iv). - Witnessed by John Iliffe of 2 Bedford Rows, solicitor.
