(iii) John Cotchin of Wellington Street, Luton, straw hat manufacturer, Reciting: - X899/5/11. - Conveyance dated 3rd May 1866 between (1) Josiah Wright and Frederick Barford (assigns of the estate of (iii) under the recited deed) (2) (iii) (3) Frederick Stephen Austin (4) Stephen Austin, said Frederick Stephen Austin and John Hankey Saumarez Sweeting (5) Charles Addington Austin (6) (ii) whereby in consideration of £2846/13/7 (1) at the request of (2) conveyed (a-c) to (6) subject still to the recited mortgage at X899/5/11. - Said principal sum of £800 is still owing to (i). Operative: - In consideration of £800 paid by (iii) to (i) & £300 paid by (iii) to (ii), (i) conveys (a-c) to (iii). Property: (a-c) Same as (a-c) at X899/5/11 although the description has been slightly revised… (a) is now in the occupation of (iii) and bounded on the SE by ground of (ii). (b) is now bounded on NE by a messuage of Joseph Tearle. (c) is now bounded on NE by a garden late of Miss Hayden, since of John Thurnham & now in the occupation and belonging to Samuel Weatherhead and on the NW by (a-b) and premises of George Carter and Joseph Tearle. Habendum: - Unto and to the use of (iii) fully discharged from the recited mortgage at X899/5/11. - Signed by (i) & (ii). - Witnessed and signed by Charles A. Austin of Luton, solicitor & F.
