    Summons against Denning of Mead House, Biggleswade. Lewis, Keeper of the Sutton Tollgate states that a man called out and asked if could walk to Biggleswade and back in an hour and a half. Lewis told him the way to go via Lantern Lane. The man said he would enquire in Sutton and went that way. He states that the man was dressed in grey coat and trousers and a black wide awake hat. He thought he was about 22 years of age with no beard or whiskers. Sarah Ann Daisley, 14 years of age, daughter of Ger and Elizabeth Daisley, of Carthagena Cottages, Sutton states that she lives next door to Mrs Brown. She was going to Sutton Village with Alice Brown when a man stepped out of the bushes and asked them for the time. His trousers were undone and he exposed himself to them and stopped them going down the road. Sarah states that the man was dressed in light ply clothes and a black, having dark hair and no beard. Alice Brown, 11 years old, also of Carthagena Cottages was going with Sarah Ann Daisley to Mrs Bandalls Public House to fetch beer as Mr Kifford was coming to kill a pig. She said that a man came out of the bushes and came towards them with his trousers undone and would not let them pass by. He then exposed himself to them. He was wearing grey clothes with a black low crowned hat. He was dark haired and clean shaven
