    Deposition of Daniel Miller, Inspector of Nuisances, and summons against Sarah Galer of Stotfold for erecting a dwellinghouse wihout a sufficient privy and an ashpit furnished with proper doors and coverings. Letter from Sarah Galer: '... cannot attend today on account of illness for Father was took in a fit, we don't expect him to live from one hour to another. I have erected two New Cottages and let them to two Brothers one Married and one single the time the cottages was made I had one good Brick Closet made with two seats in it a good door and Slated Covering one hundred feet from the Cottages there is No other Cottages Near them and Mr Mills Come and ordered me to Make another adishnell closet in Fourteen Days Which I also Did there was no Bricksat Stotfold Brick yard ill the First of May so I had Some New Boards and made one Board ed one Which I though sufficient and tilled it For a covering and put a Door to it I made a ashpit I Cannot think Why Mr Mills Sommons me I Sent For the guardians of the Parish to inspect my Place and he Could not See andy Reason for Mr Mills to Complain of Now I Must leave it for you Gentlemen of the Court to Do as you think Proper for I have Done every thing for the Comfort of my Tennants'. Case adjourned for one month and withdrawn by consent on payment of cost of 5/6.
