Letter from Thomas Gardner to Henry Watson, Registrar: "I Beg the favor of you to inform me what Testimonial is required for a person to take out a Licence for a Schoolmaster for the Church of England. I can have one from Mr.Gibson and the Churchwardens of my receiving the Communion agreable [sic] to the Church of England. Beg You will acquaint me what is required and also the Expense of the same".
