'...I saw several perople turned off the path by them. I walked close behind Miss Sarah Fitch (governess), Elizabeth Knight, and Mary Ann Fowler, and when they got very near Dilley and the other men Dilley ran backwards and no doubt would have knocked them down had they not scrambled off the pavement out of his way. As it was he ran into my arms, I said what do you mean by this I will summons you for anoying people and blocking up the footpath. He said northing and went away. I did not know any of the other men...' Fine and costs or 3 weeks.
