- TitleDeposition of George Dixon, police constable at Henlow and Edmund Gregory, of the Sir John Barleycorn beerhouse, Henlow, sawyer. William Dear is charged with stealing wood belonging to Mr Francis Fowler of Henlow which had been sawed by Gregory and left by 'the sawpit in Mr Addingtons Close...that has been used by several persons by Mr Addingtons consent.' Dear is supposed to have sold the wood to Mrs Dinah Angel of Henlow who passed them to PC Dixon. Also letter from William Bedlow regarding witnesses etc
