Deposition of Emily Ingrey, daughter of Timothy Ingrey of Biggleswade that 'On Monday morning 22nd Feb 1875 a little after 11 I was going home from the Swan where I had been sent for clothes for washing when near Mr Chapmans Jane Carr of Biggleswade came up to me & sd 'I've just got you now my girl' she then pulled my hair and hit me on my chest - she took hold of my hat and tore it & scratched my face - I said I shall go home & tell my mother - she sd 'I'll hit your father or mother either" - I got away from her & went home.' Settled by consent.
