- TitleOffice copy will and codicil of Thomas Burr of Dunstable, common brewer: - devising to his sister Mary Burr his dwellinghouse in Dunstable for her life; - bequeathing £500 to his sister Mary "and request her to reward with such part thereof as she shall think proper such of my friends and servants and to such an amount as she in her discretion shall think fit"; - bequeathing £2,000 each to his nephews Frederick Burr and Charles Burr and nieces Helen, wife of Rev.Thomas Sikes and Emily, wife of William Senhouse Gaitskell, esquire; to be paid within ten years of his death with interest at 4% per annum in the meantime; - bequeathing £100 each to James Ewbank, esquire, Rev.James Horseman, his son Thomas Edmund Horseman and his daughter Harriet Ursula Horseman; - devising all real estate to his nephew Edward Burr, requesting executors to carry on testator's trades for Edward's benefit until he became 21, if he died meanwhile the estate to devise to testator's sister Mary; - appointing Mary Burr, James Horseman and James Ewbank executrix and executors and guardians of Edward Burr during his minority; - witnesses: J.Story of St.Albans [Hertfordshire]; Charles Farr of Dunstable, surgeon; John Pirton of Dunstable, cooper Codicil of 30 Jun 1835 bequeathing £2,000 to his sister Mary in addition to the bequest made in the will and also bequeathing to her his carriage, lately purchased in London; witnessed by Thomas Edmund Horseman of Middle [Shropshire]; Robert Woods of Dunstable, servant Proved in PCC on 2 Dec 1835
