Scope and Content
"I bequeth my soull unto God Allmeghtie and to All the blessed compeny in heven" and burial in churchyard of Carleton "by my Frendes". To the poor men's box 4d..
To wife Margret the house called Peckes with the lands and pastures belonging to it in the parish or fields of Carleton and Chellington for the term of her life, reversion to son Robert, and should wife remarry and leave Peckes house, then son Robert to have it, paying yearly to his mother 10s.. Should Robert die then it is to remain to all his other children so from one to another.
To son Robert 40s., a quarter of barley and a black colt, and should Robert die then his legacy to be divided among the other children. To his daughter Amye a cow. He bequeaths to 6 of his children £6, and "so to Remane frome one to an other as they leve or dye". All his goods to wife Margaret, and she to be executrix with sir Thomas Poley, parson of Carleton, supervisor.

Son Robert to have his legacies at 20 years of age.
