    "Furst I bequeth my soull to Allmeghtie God my savyour and Redemer and I Truste and faythfully beleve that by the merytes of his passion to be one of the Childerne of his Salvation". Burial in the churchyard of Mapersall. To every godchild 12d.. To every couple of testator's poor neighbours in Mepersall and to every widow and widower 4d.. To every poor householder in Campton 2d.. To every child of son Thomas Parker a sheep called "a Theve" ( theave) . To his son Lawrence 2 steers and 3 quarters of barley, and to Alys his daughter 12d.. To testator's daughter Alys 5 quarters of barley. To Elezabeth More 13s. 4d.. To his daughter Elezabeth £6 13s. 4d.. To his son Henry £20. To his son William 20 marks. To son John £10. To son Edmund £6 13s. 4d and a couple of steers. To daughter Agnes in money £6 13s. 4d..To his daughter Mary in money £6 13s. 4d.. To his daughter Margret in money £6 13s. 4d.. The younger sons listed above to have their legacies at the age of 19, and the daughters on the day of their marriage. The younger children are all to be heirs of any dying before receiving their legacy. Testator's wife Agnes to have the keeping and occupying of the children's legacies while she remains unmarried and she is to find them meat and drink and suitable raiment. Should wife die or remarry before the younger children have received their legacies then the executors and overseers are to hold children's legacies, and also to provide for their keep. Wife Agnes is to have the occupation of his farm for the remainder of his lease, but should she die or remarry before the end of the lease, then the remainder of the term is to go to son Henry. Wife can have to her own use the tenement in Mapersall for the remainder of testator's lease, and on her death son William to take on the lease, and if he die then son John. Residue to wife Agnes, an executor. Thomas Stryngar of Mapersall also to be an executor and Thomas Cranefild of Shefford to be overseer, each to have 6s. 8d.. Should wife remarry she is first to distribute £20 among his children. Witnesses Thomas Boweker clerk deputy of the parson of Mapersall, John Lenthroppe junior gentleman, Thomas Warner, Richard Aston, Robert Bruse.
