    "I bequeth my soull to Allmeghtie God and my body to be bured in the churche yerde of Kempston". To church of Lincoln 2d.; for tithes forgotten 4d.; to the poor men's box 6d.. To son John Denet and his issue the house at Elstowe with 7 acres of free land lying in the fields of Elstow and Carington, as appears in a deed of feoffment, but if John should die without issue, then property to go to the descendants of Edward Denet the son of Regenald Denett and his issue, in default to William Denet the son of Regnold Denet (testator's son), and should he die without issue, then property to go to the next of testator's blood. To son John Denet a copyholding called Golttons held of Lord Bray, the surrender of which is in the hands of William Newolde the elder. To son John also a featherbed and all that belongs to it , and the best pot and the best pan. To Margret Denet the second pot and second pan, a mattress with all that belongs to a bed, 4 quarters of grain. To Eleiner Denet a bed with all that belongs to it and a little pot and a little pan. Residue to son John, an executor, with John Ayre, executor and Thomas Newolde to be supervisor. Witnesses sir John Dewe vicar of Kempston, Thomas Reveras, Walter Fynnall and John Copper.
