    "I geve and bequeth my soull to Allmeghtie god my maker savyour and Redemer and to our blessed lady sanct Mary and to all the glorius Compeny of heven And my mortall body to be bured in the holy sepulture in the churche yerde of Todyngton aforsaid where my executrix and oversear thingke moste convenyent". To the high altar of Todington for tithes forgotten [no amount given ] ; to the poor men's box in the same church 12d.. 20s. is to be distributed to poor and needy people on the day of his burial. To Agnes Fowller, testator's daughter's daughter, a cow and a calf. To Robert, Thomas, John and Nicholas Pottes and to Anne Pottes a quarter of barley each, Their father Raffe Pottes to use the barley as a stock for them until they are of lawful age to receive it. To wife Elezabeth 20 quarters of barley each year to be given her by Raffe Pottes during the remaining years of the lease which he had of testator, and should wife die before the end of the term then the barley to go to John Pottes. To Thomas Rowe his worsted doublet, his cross bow, the "Racke" and 3s. 4d.. To testator's cousin Raffe Pottes his best satin doublet. To John Pottes a featherbed with all things belonging to a bed. To him also testator's best coat and best wood knife, and the 2 oxen that are at Edward Pottes. To his cousin Raffe Pottes also testator's lease of Brodleys for the remaining years, charged with the payment to testator's wife of 20s. a year during her life. To his cousin Jone Pottes, the wife of Raffe Pottes, testator's best gown. To Agnes and Jone Pottes "my dowghters dowghters dowghters" [sic] a cow and a calf each. To Richard Hawkinges the fustian doublet, the best cap, one of his wood knives and 4d. in money. To Ellys Ordwey the buckskin doublet and 3s. 4d. beside his wages. To wife Elzabeth his close called Nupkinges [?Impkinges] and a parcel of mead lying at Cowe brege for his lifetime, reversion to John Pottes, or if he dies before he comes to lawful age, then all legacies to him to be divided between his brothers and sisters. To each woman servant 20d.; to Jone Bottisford 20d.; to John Throneton a quarter of barley. Residue to wife Elezabeth, executrix, and to cousin Raffe Pottes supervisor, "she to disspose as she thingke beste for the welth of hir soull and myne". Witnesses John Osburnebe vicar of Chalgrave, Robert Smyth curate of Todington, Raffe Pottes and Richard Hawkinges. To Robert Merycke 6s. 8d. To Jone Leper 6s. 8d..
