    "I bequeth my soull to AllmeghtieGod to our lady Sanct Mary and to all the holy compeny in heven" and burial in the church of Barton "At my Seat's ende" and for the burial he gives 6s. 8d. to be used in the "Reparations" of the church. To the high altar of Barton for tithes forgotten 20d.. To his wife Esbell the copyhold house where he dwells for the term of her life, reversion to testator's son John and his heirs, and should John die without issue, then the house to go to testator's son Thomas and his heirs, and should Thomas die without issue, then house to go to the next of his blood. To his wife Ysbell the lease of The Crowne for the term of her life, reversion to son John and his heirs, in default to son Thomas and his heirs, in default to the next of his blood. To son Thomas and his heirs his copyhold Bury Lotte, in default of heirs to son John and his heirs, and to Thomas also 2 horses, a couple of oxen, a cow and barley sufficient to sow all his land. To daughter Maryon 2 bullocks and the old ox bullock. To daughter Jone 2 bullocks. To daughter Agnes 2 bullocks and testator's "lytell horse that I bought of William Willymott". To every grandchild a sheep, and for lack of a sheep 12d, and to every child a sheep, or if the sheep should die to each 12d.. To his maid Besse Keppes 2 sheep. To John Banckes a sheep. To Robert Cuffeley a sheep. To Richard Roger a sheep. Residue to wife Isbell and son John, his executors, with William Norton of Stretley overseer, to whom 5 quarter of barley for his work, and "to disspose my goodes to the plesur of God and to the helth of my Soull". Witnesses to the surrender (of the copyhold property) given into the hands of Thomas Goldsmyth to the use of his will.
