Scope and Content
"I bequeth my soull to God Allmeghtie" and his body to burial in the churchyard of Todington.
To five of his natural brethren, Thomas, William, Edmund, John and George 8d. each.
His son John Fenseham to have his house after the death of his wife Alys
To wife Alys all his goods, and she to be sole executrix, and she to have the house for her lifetime, Witness Thomas Edrege, William Bune/Burre.
Followed by
Will of Alys Fenseham widow of said John Fenseham deceased, made 6 Jan.1549/50 and proved as above.
To her son John Fensham her best brass pot, a kettle next the best, a "baylled" kettle, 2 pewter platters, a candlestick, a kimnel, a form, 2 pair of sheets, a bolster, a table cloth and the best coffer save one. To John also a cow or 16s. in money at the age of 10 years. All other bequests to be delivered on day of marriage or at the age of 21. Bequests to be kept by an honest man for the boy if mother should die.
