    "I bequeth my soull unto Almeghtie God our blessed lady and to all the holy company of heven" and burial in the church of Cople in Sanct. Kateringes aisle near the burial place of testator's father and mother. To the high altar 20d., to the Sepulchre light 20d., to the bells 20d.. Wife to have the house where John Pecke dwells, which is at the yearly rent of 24s. 8d., and she is to have also the land in the tenure of Thomas Fezand which is of the yearly value of 40s., and also a pightle in the tenure of Thomas Fezand the older, which is of the yearly value of 3s. 8d., all for the term of her life, and on her death the property to revert to testator's son William, and to his lawful issue. Son William and his lawful issue to have the residue of testator's lands and tenements in Cople and Cardington. Should William die without issue, then all to go to testator's younger son Francis and his heirs, in default of heirs all to go to testator's brother Thomas Hatley of Meche Stowghton in the county of Hunt' and his heirs for ever. To wife Anne £20 in ready money, or in goods of that value. To son Francis £30 to be paid on the day of his marriage by his executors, or when he is 20 years of age. Should Francis die before receiving his legacy then money to go to son William, and should William die then of the £30 the sum of £23 6s. 8d. to go to testator's sister Alys Hill and £6 13s. 4d. to his wife. To his brother Parson 40s.. Brother John Hill to have the custody of testator's evidences until the heir is of full age, or marries. To wife 3 bullocks and 1 heifer which are at Campton. To John Hill and Edward Hill his son 2 black oxen. Executors same John Hill and testator's wife Ame, with Thomas Spenser gentleman supervisor and they to use the residue for the health of souls of testator and all Christians. Witnesses Adam Mollysworth vicar of the same town, John Paswater, Thomas Fezand senior, Thomas Fanne, Robert Atwod, John Wright, Thomas Paswater, and Thomas Fezand the younger.
