Scope and Content
Soul to God, Our Lady, and the holy company of heaven. Burial in churchyard of Toternehoo. To mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the poor man's box 4d..
To wife Agnes testator's house and his copyholding for the term of her life, with reversion to William Hensman son of John Hensman, and this the testator has effected by a surrender into the hands of John Hensman.
To George George and to William George 2 ewes and 2 puxes and three acres of tilth above Beggers Busshe, also a head acre beneath Ychling Way to be sown at her cost, and to remain in the executors' hands and not to be delivered nor divided until they come to lawful age or are married, and each to be the other's heir.
To Jone Ser a red heifer and a quarter of barley, and to each of her children half a quarter of barley.
To Jone Hensman the younger and Agnes Hensman, John Hensman's children "eche of them halfe a quarter of barley". To Margret Wendlocke a "pugge". To Raffe George a sheep and 2 bushel of wheat. To Henry Ser 2 bushel of wheat. To Symon Hensman a bushel of wheat. To Elzabeth Carpenter a bushel of wheat. Executors to see that testator's wife pays this grain at Michaelmas next coming, if it can be spared, otherwise at Michaelmas twelvemonth.
Ten loads of flints and ten loads of "Robes" to be laid in the highways.
Residue to wife Agnes, and executors are to be John Hensman and Henry Ser.
