Scope and Content
Soul to God almighty, his mother St. Mary and to the holy company of heaven, and burial in the churchyard of Litlington.
To son William testator's house with a half yardland lying in Battelden Ende, and testator's wife to have the close for her lifetime, and William is to pay to testator's son Robert 40s. within a year.
To son Cristopher a house in Battelden Ende , he to pay to his mother 12s. a year for the term of her life, and to pay to testator's son Thomas 40s. within a year after testator's death.
To wife Katering the house where testator lives for her lifetime, and on her death the house to go to son John and his heirs for ever. To wife also 5 roods of free land which she can give or sell to whom she will. To each of his daughters 6s. 8d.
To son John a quarter of wheat and a quarter of malt.
To every poor man in the parish 2d.; to every godchild 2d..
Residue to wife Katering. Executors to be John Symmys and Cristopher Medelton.
Witnesses sir Steven his curate, William Medelton, John Grene.
