    Burial in the churchyard of Todington. His mortuary according to the law of God and the statute of the king's most royal majesty supreme head of "this our churche of yngland and yrland immedyatly nexte under Allmethtie God". To the blessed sacrament of the altar for tithes forgotten 12d.; to the work of our mother church of Lincoln 4d.. To son Richard Brenckelow 9 quarters of barley to be paid within three years, that is 3 quarters a year for three years. To godson William son of the aforesaid Richard Brenckelow one quarter of barley to be paid within the same time. To son Richard the best cow, his best coat, best doublet, and his best hose. To testator's son John 5 quarters of barley. To son Thomas 18 acres of wheat, rye, barley and pease, also four quarters of barley, and to son Thomas' wife Elzabeth one quarter of barley, and these five quarters to be delivered in the next seeds time. To son Thomas also four horses with all manner of gear, and to Thomas and his wife a cow and a bullock. To his son Robert £6 14s. 4d. to be paid within three years, that is 40s. within two years and 4 marks the third year. To son William Brenckelow £6 13s. 4d. of which one half to be paid when he comes to the age of 20, and the other half in the following year. To testator's daughter Mawde £6 13s. 4d. to be paid on the day of her marriage "in mony or lawfull penyworthes". Should either Robert, William or Mawde die before the day of their marriage or day when their legacies are given them, then one half of their legacy to be given to testator's wife Cysley and the other half divided among his surviving children. To daughter Maryan Scrogges 2 quarters of wheat and one quarter of barley, and to each of her children 3s. 4d.. To daughter Agnes Smyth a quarter of barley and to Robert Smyth one quarter of barley. To John Smyth one quarter of barley. To Agnes Scrogges 40s.. To Margery Wattes 26s. 8d.. To daughter Elzabeth Straton 2 quarters of barley. All the small legacies for which no particular date is given are to be paid as soon as is convenient. To sir Cuthbert Samson priest and scollmaster of Todington 10s.to sing a trental of masses for testator and for all Christians. Residue to wife Cysley, executrix, with sons Richard and John executors. Witnesses Robert Dawson, curate, William Bowstred, Richard Cowper, William Burre.
