    Burial in church yard of Hockelyff. To the high altar of Lincoln 2d.. To wife Alys the house where testator dwells with all the land belonging to the same house for her lifetime, and he has made a surrender of the property in the presence of William Osburn', Thomas Shepard and James Grome. To wife also his team of 4 horses with the cart and the tyre belonging to the same cart, also a cow and a heifer and 2 calves. To wife also all the moveables in the house, provided that after her death a cupboard, a folding table and one of the ashen tables are to be left as standards in his house. To son Thomas a white heifer with its calf, and to each of his sons a calf. After death of wife Alys his house and land to remain to son Thomas for the term of his life, and then to Thomas' eldest son and then to Edward, Thomas' second son, and the property is not to "alyenate frome the stocke".
