    Conveyance to uses by way of partition of an estate 1) Rev. Thomas Shuttleworth Grimshaw, vicar of Biddenham, clerk, Rev Edward William Grinfield of Notting Hill Square, Middlesex, clerk 2) Barham John Livius of Bedord, esq 3) George Peter Livius of Bedford, esq. 4) Rev. Henry Samuel Livius of Clifton, Gloucestershire, clerk 5) John Iliffe of Bedford Row, Middlesex, gent. Recites i) will of George Livius of St Cuthbert's Bedford, dated 5 July 1816, which bequeathed freehold estates of 'all that capital mansion house situate in St Cuthbert's' to his wife, Mary (since deceased) for her natural life then to Joseph Foster Barham esq. and the Rev William Rose, both since deceased. If personal estate exceeds £55,000 surplus to be divided between his four sons: Barham John Livius, Frederick Joseph Livius (since deceased), George Peter Livius and Henry Samuel Livius. Mary Livius, Joseph Foster Barham and William Rose executors. - George Livius died 15 December 1816, will proved 13 January 1817. - Frederick Joseph Livius died in the time of his father. - William Rose died 2 April 1829, - Joseph Foster Barham died 28 September 1832 bequeathed everything to son John Barham with wife Lady Caroline Barham, John Barham and right honourable Henry Earl of Thanet executors. - Lady Caroline died 1832. ii) Indenture of 19 October 1836 between Mary Livius and Thomas Shuttleworth Grimshaw appointing latter trustee of the will of George Livius. - Mary Livius died 6 July 1837 - John Barham died 22 May 1838 of unsound mind and intestate leaving elder brother William Joseph Barham heir at law iii) Lease and release and appointment appointing Thomas Shuttleworth Grimshaw and Edward William Grinfield trustees. The remaining sons of George Livius having failed to sell mansion house and land by private contract have it divided into three lots of as near equal value as possible. Lots 1 & 2 to be put up for bidding. George Peter Livius declared highest bidder for Lot 1 at £250 beyond any other sum offered and independent of £100 to be paid to party entitled to Lot 2 as part of Lot 2 had been added to Lot 1. Barham John Livius declared entitled to Lot 2, £40 beyond any other bids. £250 and £40 to be paid to Thomas Shuttleworth Grimshaw and Edward William Grinfield as trustees and to satisfy costs. Indenture witnesseth that party 5) pays 10 shillings each to parties 1), 2), 3) and 4) and 5 shillings each to them by indenture of the day before for - all that mansion house with gardens, orchards, stables outbuildings, field or close of meadow or pasture ground lying behind the same containing about 6 acres situated in the parish of St Cuthbert - close of pasture ground sometime called St Cuthbert's Close and afterwards Gadsby's Close, 4 acres by estimation but only 3 acres 2 rood by measurement formerly in the tenure or occupation of John Thompson then Thomas Gadsby - plot or parcel of land 7 acres 20 perches allotted to George Livius by the Inclosure of 1797 but underwent various alterations during the lifetime of George Livius. Abutted W - old enclosures and garden lately George Livius, N - Goldington Road, E & S allotment previously of William Gery Lot 1 coloured purple and red on the plan and containing 1 acre 3 roods and 36 perches to the use of George Peter Livius for life and to John Iliffe upon trust Lot 2 coloured yellow and green on plan and containing 6 acres 1 rood and 23 perches to the use of Barham John Livius for life and John Iliffe upon trust Lot 3 coloured blue and containing 9 acres 2 roods and 14 perches to the use of Henry Samuel Livius for life and John Livius upon trust.
