Letter from Charles Pell Hall of Park Farm Office, Woburn, Beds to F.T. Tanqueray of Woburn, solicitor: - The Vicars of Crawley and Ridgmont are unable to accept an offer of £900 from Mr. Roberts for their property. - Mr. Roberts had his rent reduced from £38 to £36 on condition that he did all repairs. - The tithe, 17/- and land tax, £1/14/- are paid by Mr. Roberts. - The Vicars of Crawley and Ridgmont would be willing to sell this property (subject to the consent of the Ecclesiastical Commissioners) for a sum which would yield not less than £34 per annum in some trustees authorised security, and they are not prepared to sell the land at any price below this.
