Letter from F.G.Brightman in Luton to Andrew Underwood: - he charged 6/3 per day for hire of a horse, cart and man from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. before World War One in other words the cost of about 20 pints of beer; - when he joined the fire brigade they had a manual engine but he remembered the arrival of the new engine; - he would like to see any photographs taken by [John] Copperwheat
