Letter from Bennings & Son of Town Clerks Office, Dunstable, solicitors to F. Tanqueray of Woburn, solicitor… 'We are now informed by Mr. Champion that Mr. Forder will agree to the terms arranged at Billington. We think therefore you had better now communicate direct with him 'B.J. Forder, esquire St.Albans'. Mr. Forder suggests that the lease might be much shorter than the one at present existing. We shall be glad to know whether the surrender of Mr. Scargill's lease can now be prepared that no delay may take place in cancelling the present lease'.
