Pocket diary of George Lett giving details of service in the last few months of the First World War and including:
- leaving Crowborough Camp [Sussex] and embarking for Calais; - two months training at "Cayux" No.5 Convalsecent Camp;
- attached to 1st/4th Battalion Suffolk Regiment [Pioneer Battalion of 58th Division];
- entrainment to "Nowelles" and march to Haudricourt with two week stay at camp;
- arrival at Wancourt on 14 Nov and a good time had with visits to Abbeville etc. leaving on 13 Jan 1919;
- moves to Abbeville, Étaples and Somain and joining 1st Battalion Cambridgeshire Regiment;
- had a day's outing to Lille; move to Audruicq on 2 Mar joining 11th Battalion Suffolk Regiment there;
- move to Rouen on 9 Jun; joined a P.O.W. Company at Abbeville on 22 Jun;
- moved to Cologne with the German prisoners then back to England via Calais just before Christmas 1919
