"In emptying the dressing table drawers of Miss Smith's clothes I found the enclosed copy of birth certificates. Miss Amy Preston (Miss Smith's friend of 40 years) and I hope to dispose of the clothes during the coming week. I have washed the sugar basins, dish etc. in use which were in the kitchen cupboard and am rather troubled that a small silver sugar scoop and napkin ring could be lost when the sale people go to sort things out".
