- Scope and Content"Thank you for sending the Cards and snaps of the grave. As you say not many people have for years tended graves in so many Churchyards. Ampthill has been very bad especially in the old part near the Rectory Lane side. I think you will discover a few relics as you sort out, some dating back to my young days. I don't wish any of these to be sent on to me, the cedar wood lid book and the Bible. We have quite a few Bibles. By the way there are some items which before we came to settle in Bournemouth belong to us both including the 3 piece covered suite, which we parked with my sister and which she used. The pictures were painted by my sister Katie and were given to us as a Wedding present in 1914 and we had them framed Naturally we did not want to transport these to Bournemouth as we really had not sufficient room for them. There is also a pair of cut glass decanters, which formerly belonged to my Grandmother, at my Mother's death, these were left to me. I mention this information so that you will be conversant with things first hand I thought it prudent to mention about these particular items, as at valuation it would possibly increase the amount. But in any case I do not wish to benefit in any way about these items, and they can be disposed of to anybody who might be able to make use of them. I have not made any mention to Mr.Cooke about these, as I so not wish to raise any queries which might make progress difficult in settlement of my Sister's affairs. This information I have stated is intended personally to you as I think you should know. I trust now that all will settle down, and I expect you are having a busy time sorting all items out. It is good of Miss Preston to help you with this work. All good wishes from us both to each of you".
