Letter from Allison K.Thomas in USA to Andrew Underwood: - he took a photograph of Richard Nicolls monument in Ampthill in World War Two when stationed in UK; - puzzled by AU's remarks in his booklet on Richard Nicolls that his brothers Francis and Edward never married as family tradition had it that Francis was born in 1595 and went to Stratford [Connecticut] in 1634 with his four children and later remarried [see AU10/67/3]; the writer claimed direct descent from Francis
