    Letter from Margaret L.Allen to Andrew Underwood: - her aunt's full name had been Agnes Gertrude Mary Allen and died aged 25; - a ghost was supposed to haunt her grandfather's chemists shop, later Cheeseman's, and was thought to be her great uncle George [also formerly a chemist], the writer's mother had never seen anything but had heard footsteps along the passage from the distillery and up the stairs and heard a door opening; - the writer was third daughter of George Allen, Joseph's eldest son "the bad lad of the family, but he was a fascinating bad lad and my father and I loved him. He died in Italy and is buried in the Allori cemetery just outside Florence on the way to Siena" he had died aged 59; her mother had died in 1948; - the writer was interested in providing a chair in the church in memory of her aunt and in restoring her grandparents' headstone; she approved the Rector's decision to remove kerbs in the graveyard
