    [f. 245] Robert Mathew of "Southmill parishioner of the inhabitance of Blownham" made 19 July 1547 [sic] pr, 5 July 1547. Burial in churchyard of St. Edmundes in Blownham. To high altar for tithes forgotten two bushel of malt; to the Sepulchre light 4d.. To wife Margret his copyholding in Mogarhangar which testator bought of John Byrde until [son] Robert is 18, and if Robert should die before that age, then it is to go to son Thomas, and so on to the next surviving son. Should all his sons die, then wife to have the property for ever. Son Robert to have 5 marks at age 16 and also a couple of 3 year old steer bullocks. Son Allen to have 4 marks at age 16; and son Thomas to have 4 marks at age 16. Son John to have 33s. 4d. and a year old bullock, and should one son die, the others are to be his heirs. Daughter Agnes to have a calf, 4 quarter of barley and 6 sheep, and the 40s. which Mathew Layte of Hechen owes testator, and also the cow that testator bought of William Warde, chandler. Daughter Margery to have 4 quarter of barley, 6 sheep and a cow bullock. All other goods to wife to see his children brought up. Executors his wife and his brother James Mathewe, each to have 20d..
