    [f. 237] William Hebbes of Tyllysworth, husbandman, made 19 Apr. pr. 2 May 1547. Burial in churchyard of Allhallowes in Tyllysworth. To mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the high altar of Tyllysworth for tithes forgotten one bushel of barley; to the upkeep of the torches of "the said towne" 3s. 4d.; to the upkeep of the bells 12d.; to each of his godchildren in the same town 2d.; for 5 masses to be said for souls of testator and all Christians 20d.. To servant Alys Russell a ewe and a lamb. To his wife 2 kine (a black hued and a pied) also 2 steers (a black "hoved" and a pied), also one acre of barley this year "after as long as they mater et filius be together", three half acres of barley. To servant Thomas Grome "yf he be diligent" half a quarter of barley. To Richard Hawkinges half a quarter of barley. To Thomas Fleet one quarter of barley. To the children of William Goldsmyth one quarter of barley. Residue to son Robert Hebbes executor and testator's wife Margret executrix (she is his son's mother) to dispose of for souls.
