  • Title
    [f. 225] John Travell of Arleysey, labourer made 7 Dec. 1546, pr. 2 May 1547. Burial in the churchyard of St. Peter of Arlyshey. To son John a great pan, testator's house and lands in Arlyshey both freehold and copyhold "yff he leve" and executors are to be responsible for letting the house and land until son come to lawful age. Should son die executors Thomas Baldocke the younger and Richard Emery are to sell the property and use the money "for the welth of my soull my father and mothers soullees, and all my Frendes soulless as they shall thingke beste sum fo have a preste singing and to the reparations of the churche and mending of the hight weyes". If the house is sold wife Jone to have 40s.,and she to have the remainder of testator's moveables. Witnesses William Pyeman vicar, Thomas [?]Reye, John Baldocke.
