  • Title
    Folio 221 - Thomas Pecocke of Westoinge made 12 May pr. 20 July 1546. Burial in churchyard of Westoing ; to high altar for tithes forgotten 3s. 4d.; to the upkeep of the bells 3s. 4d.. His house and all that belongs to it to wife Jone Pecocke for her lifetime, and then to testator's son Thomas. To his son William Pecocke his copyolding of Worthing. To his daughter Margaret 10 quarter of barley to be given into hands of "my father" Thomas Kepyas, half at the feast of the Nativity next, and the other half at the same feast the following year, Margaret to receive her legacy on her marriage, provided she is guided by Thomas Kepyas. Henry Pecocke to have 40s. to be paid to Thomas Kepyas at the feast of All Saints in twelve months time. To every other child that testator has 40s., and 40s. to Thomas. The legacy of any child dying to be divided among the survivors. Should wife remarry then testator's goods bequeathed to his children be handed to Thomas Kepyas "my Father" and to Edmund Parsonines to use of the children. Residue to wife Jone. Thomas Kepyas and Edmund Brodwey to be executors. Gylys Blowfild to be supervisor. Witnesses Gylis Blowfild and Thomas Smyth.
