[f. 212] John Lambe vicar of Eyworth made 11 Nov. pr. 13 Dec. 1546.
"I bequeth my soul to Allmeghtie God our blessed lady Sanct Mary and to all the holy company in Heven", and burial in the churchyard of All Hallowes in Eyworth. To the mother church of Lincoln 4d.; to the parish church aforenamed 3 beasts to keep my obit yearly, the curate to have for his bederoll, derige and mass and one pennyworth of wax 8d.; to the parish clerk 2d.; to the ringers 4d.; to the church box 2s., and the residue that comes from the rent of the beasts to be spend on bread, ale and cheese at the derige. To every priest that comes to testator's burial and says mass 8d.; to every clerk that can say derige 2d.. Item to the poor people in Eyworth 6s. 6d.. To Dunton 5s.. To Wrastelingworth 5s.. To Sutton 3s. 4d.. To Gildon Murton 3s. 4d.. To Tadlowe 3s. 4d.. to Hatley Porte 2s. 4d..
To sir William Umfray for halfe a year's service of him to be said and sung in the church of Eyworth £3. To the said sir William testator's best gown. To Thomas Palmer the short gown. To John Palmer and his wife the residue of the years that testator has in a lease of part of the tithe in Wrastelingworth, and if they die before the end of the term of years, then the remainder of the lease is to go to their son Henry.
To sir Alexsander Foscrofte parson of Wrastelingworth testator's best silver spoon and his little featherbed with bolster.
To the aforesaid John Palmer the residue of his bedding and raiment.
Executor to be John Palmer. Residue of his possessions to be used in deeds of charity "for the helth of my soull and all Cristen soulless" with the agreement and advice of the aforesaid parson of Wrastelingworth, who is to be Supervisor.
