    [f.. 209d] John Travell of Arlysley, husbandman, made 6 Dec. 1544, pr. no day no month 1546. Burial in the churchyard of St. Peter of Arlyshey. To the high altar for tithes forgotten 2 bushel of wheat; to the torch light 2 bushel of barley; to the Sepulchre light 2 bushel of barley; to the Rood light 2 bushel of barley; to the bells 2 bushel of barley. To wife Alys all the household goods she brought with her on her marriage, and also testator's goods. To son John Travell and to Thomas Mortemer 4 horses, cart and cart gear, plough and plough gear to be divided between them, with John Travell to have the first choice. To Edward Mortymer 2 quarters of barley and to Alys Mortymer 2 quarters of barley. To son John Travell a great pan, a platter and a candlestick. To daughter Jone a great pot, a platter and a candlestick. To wife Alys the "horse that she bowght last". To son John Travell the tenement where testator dwells with the appurtenances called Haydys and Barrowght being copyhold. To John Baldocke and Jone his wife, testator's daughter, a close of pasture with 10 acres of land and meadow in Arlysley called [?]Stokkes being copyhold, and also another pightle with 7 acres of land called Peckers, also copyhold, and 2 acres and a rood and a halfof arable sometime Maryan Talers being copyhold. To Thomas Mortemer a tenement with appurtenances in Arlysley sometime Mekes which is cophold. Wife Alys to have his whole crop of grain whether on the ground or in the barn, and his dwelling house for one year after testator's decease, and any other crop that that is in tilth at the time of testator's death. John Travell and John Baldocke and their heirs to keep a yearly obit in Arlyshey church for the souls of testator, his wives and all Christians costing each year 3s. 4d.. Residue to wife Alys to use as she thinks best for souls, she to be executrix and John Baldocke executor and Thomas Baldocke the elder overseer, he to have 12d.. Witnesses William Pytman clerk, Thomas Kyrke the elder, Nicholas Byrteby, John Aubery.
