    [f. 205] Thomas Warlow of Aspley Guyse made 23 Aug. pr. 13 Sep. 1546. Burial in the churchyard of St. Botulph of Aspley. To the high altar a bushel of wheat and a bushel of barley; to the bells 8d.; to the torches 8d.; to the mending of Sanct Botalles Layne 8d.; to the mother church of Lincoln 2d.. He gives a cow in the place of a cow that died in the hands of William Strayton his son in law, which produced 18d. a year for the maintenance of the Drinking at the Cross on the feast of Corpus Christi each year. His daughter Elene is to have towards her living (while keeping herself single) the whole lower part of the Hall with the appurtenances; an acre of land in every field tilled and dressed as the other land; a ley of mead ground lying in Alam Brige; a bay of the barn next the street; a stall in which to tie two kine; six [?]trees to find her fire wood at her need on the same ground. Should Elen fortune to marry, then her lands are to return to the possessors of his house, except a half acre called Mundis , which he gives to Elen. Daughter Elene to have half of the household stuff after the death of testator's wife Alys. A trental of masses to be sung in the church of Aspley Guyse for souls of testator, his father and mother and all Christians. His daughter Margret Syer and son-in-law Richard Syer to have 10s.. His daughter Jone Straton and son-in-law William Straton to have 10s..Each of his daughters' children to have 20d., and to every godchild 4d.. Residue to wife Alys his sole executrix, with supervisors Richard Syer, William Stratton and Thomas Mathewe. Witnesses Richard Syer, William Straton, Thomas Mathew.
