    Folio 171d - William Swetbone of Escotes otherwise Cotton in the parish of Cardington, husbandman, made 13 May pr. 22 May 1546. Burial in the churchyard of Cardington. To the high altar of the same church for tithes forgotten 12d.; to the mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the bells at Cardington 12d.. To each of his daughters 4 quarters of barley. To son-in-law William Baker/Bacar 3 roods of wheat, one rood of rye. To daughters Elzabeth, Margery and Agnes 5 roods of wheat and 3 roods of rye to be divided among them. To testator's brother Robert Swetbone an acre of barley lying at the Goore Badge. To Thomas Fox a half acre of barley. To daughter Alys a couple of oxen now in the keeping of Richard Nicholles of Howghton. To daughter Margery a couple of steers now in the keeping of the said Richard Nicolles. To daughter Elzabeth a couple of the greatest oxen which testator has at home. To daughter Agnes a couple of steers which are at home. To daughter Margery a red cow with her calf. To daughter Agnes a red hewed cow with her calf. To John Petid a calf and two sheets. To Margery Bacar a yearling bullock. To daughter Elzabeth the greatest coffer, an ambry, a table, a form, a great spit with cobirons, a new steeping vat and testator's best coverlet. To daughter Margery his second coffer, the biggest pan, a brass pot and a little spit, 2 pewter dishes, and a candlestick. To daughter Agnes a little forcer [a little chest] 3 pewter dishes, a candlestick, a kettle, a pan, a frying pan, a [?] "tred", a coverlet, a bolster, a chair, and a banker. To William Bacar testator's best violet coat and best doublet. To servant John the second violet coat. Residue to be divided between his three daughters Elzabeth, Margery and Agnes, giving the two younger daughters the best portion. Executors Richard Smyth of Willyshamsted and William Baker of Bedford, with supervisor John Warren of Caryngton, each to have 3s. 4d..
