    Folio 164 - Margret Barbor of Howghton Regis made 6 Apr. pr. 8 Jun. 1546, in her widowhood. Burial in churchyard of All Sanctes in Howghton; to the high altar there for tithes forgot 4d.; to the mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the torches 4d.; to the Rood light 4d.; to the bells 4d.. A trental is to be celebrated for testator immediately after her death 10s.. "To William my sonne William's sonne" an acre of barley lying at Porte Way nigh unto the hedges, but if William should die before he reaches his lawful age then his brother to have the said acre. To William Gray the son of Michael Gray the next acre of barley lying in the same Porte Way, and should he die then his brother is to have it. To son William an acre of barley shooting on Myxe Waye and half an acre of wheat lying in the North Field and also testator's mead in Sow Mede, to hold to him and his heirs for ever (charged with a yearly obit for testator which is to continue for 10 years, paying in the first year 2s. and after that 12d a year), together with 4 marks sterling in money and 3 quarters of malt, testator's best brass pot, a mattress, a pillow, a pair of blankets, 2 pair of sheets, a calf and all testator's wood. To daughter Elzabeth 2 lands of barley lying on Myxway, testator's best coverlet, best pan, a coffer without a lock, all testator's brass, an old pan that stands in the Kill Howse, 4 platters, the painted cloths that hang about the house, the best sheet and the hangings about testator's bed, her pewter pot, a candlestick and a salt cellar, her pig, her hens and her ducks. To daughter Margret half an acre of pease in the North field, a woollen wheel, 2 cushions, a chafing dish, a brass pot, a cauldron , 4 platters, a coffer with a lock, a curtain that hangs over testator's bed. Thomas Ford to buy testator's cow for 15 shillings which money is to be used at testator's month's day. To Thomas Hawkinges the son of Richard Hawkinges a sheet. To Katering Grome a pillow. To Maryan Hardwike a linen wheel, a platter and a sheet. To Eme Mele a half sheet. To Jone Colles a smock. To Margret and Alys the children of testator's daughter Elzabeth 2 pair of sheets each. To the two daughters of Margret Gray, 2 pair of sheets each. To testator's daughters Margret and Elzabeth a gown, a kirtle, a petticoat, a mattress and a table cloth each, and the residue of testator's linen to be divided between them. To William, her son William's son, the best coverlet that lies on testator's bed, a coffer that stands at the bed's head. To Robert the son of Michaell Gray a coffer that stands in the loft. To Alys the daughter of Thomas Ford a little coffer. Residue to be dealt with at the discretion of son William Barbor and Michaell Gray, who are made executors, and Richard Hawkinges to be supervisor, he to have 12d..
